well i was just wondering what type and brand of filtration device everyone is running in their aro tanks. i personally have 2 eheim 2217's one with substrate pro and the other with eheim lava chips and also a turbo twist 18 watt uv light connected to one of the 2217's. thanks for your input.

in my jardinii, i have an over flow with a 700 litre per hours return pump, in the sump i have 3 internal filters. filled with bio media.
then i have also in the same tank a fluval fx5. suffice to say, my tank is clear... i sometimes find birds trying to fly through it....ok i kid i kid!!
no really, the bio media i use is ehiem balls, effisubstrat... not sure bout spelling
i change water 1 to 2 weekly, but cos i like doing it and i get bored after i do my work when i get home. but i can go 3 or sometimes a little longer with out water changes, i have never seen nitrite and all baddies climb up.... but i just change it cos thats what you do

on my 240 I have 3 cascade 1500's and an fx5 along with 2x36 watt uv lights each one inline with a cascade 1500.
i did it the cheap way i got three penguins ha ha for my 165 gallon ,just until i get my 600 gallon with 2 75 gallon sumps
