What kind of fish is this?

It looks like a rock bass.

Its either a mud sunfish or a rock bass. I'm pretty sure its a rock bass

Its smaller then what i thought but just really thick. Cant really see in these pics really well. Its kinda of multi colored and when i saw him in the water he was brown and had thick black tiger stripe like lines. It has more of a tilapias build. Its not round like sunfish and brim.

Looks like a Warmouth Sunfish to me. Def. not a Mud Sunfish though. Pattern and coloration is off.

Rock Bass are more of a Golden color with almost no markings, and red eyes. You've got a Warmouth.

Yeah i was going to do that . I have to check if it has a dot by its gills.

After doing some research of the two, it is definitaly a warmouth. Thanks EVERYONE for all your help! I'm kind of disapointed it wasnt rarer then a sunfish lol.

lol, Warmouths are still a great Native, IMO.
