What kind of fish is this?

This is a kind of barb - not sure which.

Looks like maybe an osteochilus of some kind. Doesn't look like a dorado or brycon to me.

Give me a couiple more days I am planning on starting a new thread of pictues and video of my fish room living room.
I was a the LFS and had everything bagged up to go when I saw the barb. I almost did not get it but liked that it was pretty big and looked like a ATF. The guy that I was working with at the store did not know wat it was or how much. The owmer rattled off some name that did not match any of the fish whem my girl friend put the name in her smart phone. So I got it and started searching google for pictures of it.

Might look more like this barb 'Cyclocheilichthys apogon' Seen a few in lfs before

It is some kind of barb or carp. It's not a characin.

I think it is an osteochilus but Cyclocheilichthys apogon looks about like the same fish but smaller. An Osteochilus is also called a Silver Sharkminnow. I think that is what the guy at the LFS called it but unless the spacing is correct all google comes up with is Bala Shark
