What kind of fish is this?

At least I think they are JDs... The store bought Jack Dempsey I have looks a lot different as far as color. THey could all be some type of hybrids. There were some Convicts in the spring as well as what I assume are Jack Dempseys and oscars.

I would be hard prest to call those JD. just IMHO, perhaps a hybrid.

Hmmm. Your probably right. However I've seen some images online that look very similar to them and they are labeled. JD's. But yeah they are probably all hybrids. Most between 1-1.5". Will keep them and see how they turn out. Thanks!!
 
Thank you, ya he all boy in breeding color. he and his mate own there own 75g. they where in the 180 but he pinned the Oscar tho twice his size.they needed there own tank.
 
Clintm80, what you have is Texas cichlid not JD.
