What kind of fish?

What location are you catching these at? I catch a bunch of cichlids in south FL and have always wondered why I haven't caught any Texas, as they should definitely be one of the most cold tolerant of cichlids

X2 on location.

I’m not sure why they aren’t more common in FL.

I’m not to sure why people tend to jump to the conclusion of hybrid.... There are a lot of sub species of fish but to me it looks like a regular Texas cichlid. I live in Southern California and I can find those at my local pet store as Texas cichlids.

I meant the "fire mouth" looks hybrid,Texas looks pure
