what kind of freshwater eel is this?

today at my local aquarium shop i found this eel but i don't know what kind of eel is this,a few vere caught here in venezuela and makes me wonder if this is the infamous electric eel because of the shape of the head

Yes definatley an electric eel I would buy tht before someone else gets their hands on it, thts if u have a big tank cause they get big,

i wish but sadly i don't have a thank for him also don't want all my africans floating around lifeless lol.

i thought he would be expensive but hes around 600bfs and thats like 20-30$
 
Call me crazy but I'm not 100% convinced this is an electric eel. Can we get a better shot?

I wouldnt think stores would sell electric eels, but then again who knows. Actually does look like the lung reddead posted but I am no expert on lungs.
 
well i am back,lungfishes have fins that look like skinny legs,this was more like a serpent fish,i took this pic because i was not sure if it really was an electric eel but it could be another thing
 
Marble swamp eel native to venezuela. The fish in the pic looks very healthy and thick. These fish can be kept in community settings, but they are unpredictable and predatory. Also these fish will bite you and they have a nasty bite. I have kept a few sa swamp eels and i currently have a small asian swamp eel, i like these fish much better than a sa lungfish or electric eel.
