I'm looking to get a new fish here pretty soon when I get my next bigger tank and I like to plan and research a fish before I get one. I am very interested in gars, real gars, not needlenose or rocket, no fork tails for me. If you are willing to throw me your 2 cents, please look at my tank setup,'and view some of my YouTube videos, search smnkm4ehfer to look me up. And please good or bad, please comment, let me know what you think so I can either keep doing what I'm doing, or fix what I may be doing wrong, or just give me other ways of doing things. I'm always looking for ways of making things easier for me, and better for my fish. Thank you!

I'm not sure, but I think the Short Nose Gar's the smallest reaching approx 25-30 inches. At least I believe it is the smallest, please correct me if I'm wrong anybody. Being the smallest(if I'm right) it would have the least demanding tank requirements making it more suitable for you. There's one for sale on aquabid if the sellers correct about the I.D. was considering it myself. Though the most commonly kept is the Florida Gar as far as I know.
