what kind of oscar?

Just bought this little guy a few days ago one lady in the store said it was a tiger ther other said it was a pearl. i cant find anything like a pearl. someone help please

just a common oscar, not a tiger, tiger oscars have orange strips
 
It's too young to be sure. The red should kick in at around between 3 and 6 inches. It certainly looks like it will be the usual red tiger. He looks really healthy. Good choice!
 
I dont think hes going to ge nothing like my other oscar tho i think hes really cool! can turn allmost completly grey and back to normal in just seconds. thanks for the info. More pics to come once it gets bigger

yes, GRAY patterns, but not ORANGE. tiger oscars, even at 1-2 inches, will already have orange, they start to loose it around 3-4 inches:screwy: which they then start getting they're adult colors in after that...
