what kind of oscar?

I would stake my Oscar through the head without a thought to have one like that. I looked for one, but they don't exist anywhere I could find. So I settled for a Peru. I have never, ever seen one like that. It is holy.

In my early teens my father had about 15 of these. The reason you cant find them anymore is because buyers want color. Breeders used select breeding to achieve the oscars we have today. The same could be said for Discus.......
 
It's sad, but I think you are right. Red is not really a pretty color anyway. Why didn't they breed them into a better green and solid black? I mean, red? Why, people, why?
 
^ Agreed with this guy. Red is a overwhelming popular color in fish from what I see in stores and I mean come on... Why wouldn't someone want a yin yang oscar peacefully begging for food every second of the day, I would!

yikes man, that is the most violent thing I have ever heard you say! Yeah...i have been on the lookout for one of these guys as well with no luck at all. Maybe one day one will fall from the craigs list sky into my lap...:screwy:

Yeah, I know what you mean. It would have been cool to see other colors..........
