What kind of P. Bass is this?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, there is some indication that Cichla will naturally hybridize--probably if other, suitable mates are not present.

Regarding the fogos, who the heck knows what they are. They're not orinocensis-types though....too far apart geographically.

would be interesting to purposely hybridize cichla in the home aquarium just to see what you'll get :)

Like NARC's old Ocelaris and Monoculus pair that spawned

It's easy to do. Get a male mono and a female butterfly and you got it. Or the other way around. Dr. Axelrod hybridized temensis and ocellaris, which were actually orinocensis, and they grew up mostly looking like temensis. FYI.

Ooooooooohhh I wonder who has the fry now? I'd love to get some of those.

You're older than me by a year. LOL!

Yeah well by now the fry must be all over the place with them being bred in captivity I am sure they are people that have the decendants of those fish. Now if only we could track them down.....lol

I know....I'm nuts. I've completely lost it.:screwy:

I bet they're all dead. Who cares anyway. There's so much cool stuff available to us now.
