Yes cool fish. I still think its a RTM or mota. Did you check put the "juvi RTM thread in the media"? Compare your fish with some of those. All young parachromis are hard to tell from one another. That is why so many people buy a freddy or mota and end up with a loisellie. To give a proper ID you need to wait for the fish to grow. RTMs and motas look so much like doviis other than the color.

that fish is a hybrid of two parachromis sp. ive had all of the parachromis and curently keep loisellei, dovii, and managuense. i just sold my 13in male motaguense and im telling you the snout of motaguense, friedrichsthali, managuense, and loisellei do not look elongated like that. this fish is too heavily spotted to be pure dovii, yet it looks alot like one based on the body shape and head profile, elongated snout and large powerful mouth. the only fish ive seen with spots like that was a male motaguense. the black markings on the gill plate and down the lateral line are shared in all parachromis sp.
Some motas and managuesnse I've seen have very elongated snouts. The thing this fish doesn't have in common with dovii or mota is that it is missing a black blotch on the gill plate. Again the main problem is IDing a young fish.
