under a bridge in fl
i caught it a few years back in miami.just curious
i always thought there was only one kind of pb.

There are many peacock bass species, they belong to the cichla genus. To the best of my knowledge there are about 7 different species, yours looks like Cichla temensis but I'm not 100% on that. Pbass are not my specialty.

There is actually 1 private lake in FL. with temensis stocked in it but I believe the owner shoots first and asks questions later;) . Temensis where stocked in the river system at the same time the ocels where. The ocels flourished but for some reason the tems died off.

At least that is what Online research leads me to believe :)

Definatly not temensis.

that is cichla monoculus. also, next time you are holding a fish up, do not hold it up like that via its jaws, that is harmful.
