what kind of pecock bass

I was in my local fish stor today and found one just like this. I asked the guy who worked there what type of peacock bass it was, he said he didnt know. he said he didnt think it was a bass at all. He said it was a type of african cichlid. I told him i would take it. He did not have it listed for a price, so he gave it to me for free. Nothing like a free PB for my 150 gallon tank.
