That's what I have been trying but they spit it right back out.

try aro stick.. some cichla will never eat pellets, only thing you can do is keep at it and they'll eat them if their hungry enough.. for me the key was always to trick them when they were young.

what size bio gold do you guys use? the mini or the medium?

depends on the size of your fish :nilly:

I have the largest ones. I still think food sticks are the way to go. You can easily break them up into sizes right for your cichla.

I tried breaking bio-gold+ a few times and they would slip my grip and go flying everywhere. :irked:

i got 8 orinos.
i tried mixing the bloodworms with broken up aros sticks
they only eat the bloodworms.
should i wait till tey get a little more bigger?
their arond 2.5inches

I starved my cichla monoculus for a week and only 1 took to the hikari food sticks...my arowana devours them and the 1 cichla loves them...the other 2 just sit there looking at them like they are stupid =p

in another month im gonna try another starvation period and see if i can get all the cichla on the pellets...

How are you feeding them bloodworms? are you melting the cubes in a cup and pouring in? or just throwing in the cube? This is assuming you're using the frozen bloodworm cubes..

My 2" Orinos like massivore and aro sticks. I break up the massivore in four and the sticks in three pieces.
