Because there are about 75 species of pike cichlids.
Around 50 in the genus Crenacichla, and another 25 in the genus Saxatilia.
To get a good ID, one would need a close up, very focused on the face, to show details of how that horizontal bar passes thru the face.

There are tiny idiosyncrasies that separate one species from the next, the shot above would be an example.

The above shot is too far away to show detail.

But a shot like the one of this Crenicichla sp belly crawler would help.
Clear details like how the horizontal bar stretches into the lower jaw, and lower lip.
A clear view of the spot (shape and size) of the spot on the caudal peduncle may also add to ID accuracy.

And spots (if any) on the dorsal, that only show up when mature (as tlindsey mentioned above)
