bought this a week ago they called it a gold spot pleco i paid $15 for it and its about 6" he has a big topfin like a gibbi but not the pattern so what is he???

No clue but my pleco looks like that but his fins always sticking up and it kinda reminds me of a sailfin pleco with spots

Don't think it's a gold spot.
They're normally more expensive, deeper black in colour and have gold/yellow stripe at the tip of dorsal and tail fin and over their body.
I think you have a fairly common plec, which will grow to 12 inches.
I got one, a cool fish if you ask me!

those are called gold nugget plecos here and i know its not a common or a gibby cuz i own 5 commons and used to have a large gibby

Its what Davo said, it is a Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. I use to have one, pretty cool pleco.
