For amazons they can be successfully kept with other fish, so long as their tankmates aren’t aggressive. I’m keeping mine with loaches, tetras, a pleco, and mollies no problems except for occasional nips (puffers be puffers). The trick though is making sure the tank doesn’t have too much fish in it, or you risk nitrates building up to dangerous level.I'd have to agree with Deadeye.... but I think I'm leaning more towards the Amazon Puffer than the Ceylon. My roommate had a Ceylon years back (about 10 years now) and I don't recall it being that dark. I also think that Ceylons have a rounder shape (the one my roommate had was like a softball). Pure speculation tho.
I wouldn't keep either one of those in a Community, especially the Ceylon since they'll eventually need brackish water and are freakin mean - My roommate kept his in a 60 gal alone.
How big?thank you! This one is a big one, does Amazon puffer gets this big?
Looked a lot larger in the video. Still far from full grown if an Amazon.I also have Amazon puffer and they are very peaceful. I love them. This o E looks bigger for Amazon puffer. This one in the video is already 6 cm long
Probably some young fahakas.I don't think that Amazons get very large... How big are those Fahakas beside it in the video? I was under the assumption that Fahakas are the second largest freshwater puffer behind the MBU. That puffer in question doesn't look much smaller than the Fahakas!!
