Since ms-222 is practically impossible to find…I wouldn’t have much a choice. I’ve read it can be done without sedation, but I wouldn’t trust myself there.Thank you. Would you use colive oil to sedate them ?
I’ve read that it has long term effects and can shorten lifespan, but I’m not sure of the validity of this and would imagine it would have to be exposed to a lot very frequently.I have been using clove oil but I don’t know if it had side effects on my amazons
What concerns me with mine mainly is their size. They are under 2 inches best I can tell, which makes it rather difficult.Not that i’ve done it personally but if you are confident enough, you can catch them in a net, then using the netting of said net firmly hold them below the water surface with one hand and trim their beak with the other…
basically the same as sedating just without the sedation and a little tricky due to the fact they will likely squirm…
