rhom is a rhom is a rhom.

people can guess the collection point, and I am sure someone will try, but they will probably be wrong unless they pulled it out of the river themselves.

diamond, black diamond, blue diamond, gold diamond, just a way to describe physical traits of a rhom.. no scientific classification involved. was pretty much made up by vendors to fetch more cash for a rhom.

is the rhom for sale? or you just find the pic randomly?? tank looks way to small

thanks for the info and yeah is just a pic i found on the internet and I am just a fan of these. love the way they look and i know from reading they get big and should be kept alone in a large tank. Does anybody know any vendor on here that is currently selling this type of rhom that i have posted on here?

I am selling one, collected from rio xingu, 8 inches. pittsburgh pick up!!

but you can try aquascape or shark aquarium, One of them will most likely have on in stock. most rhoms after they hit a certain size they tend to look more and more similiar. The charecteristics of their collection point are more distincitve when they are younger.

ive seen couple juvies here that have red eyes but some dont, can it be due to different location?

nah, most juvis dont have red eyes. As they grow and hit a certain stage, usually around 4-5 inches their eyes will turn red

thanks for all the info was really helpful

yup, and I am sure someone else will chime in too, or if you have any other questions

The one in the picture is actually in very poor condition.. showing signs of fin rot on almost all of the fins.. the tank is way to small like previously stated.. most larger rhoms, besides venny ,will look like that if taken from the wild at above 10 to 12 inches.. you rarely ever see anyone that grew their fish from a small size to look anywhere close to that.. for some reasons when rhoms hit the 9" mark your pretty much looking at the way that fish will stay..
