What kind of salt to use?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No need for salt I take it the marks on Jim's ray is a lot less than what I have seen in the past and I have never used salt

In the wild if a fish gets damaged no one treats the whole river with salt

Any problems everyone always says add salt and turn up the temp

I always used to keep my temp high so never needed it if you have good clean water no need to add salt

Wow! That is some pretty serious looking injuries! Guess i had better get prepared for this. Yes you are correct T1 the damage on my female was far less severe than the pics of your rays. It has healed within 24hrs.

Good water is the key! my male has been stung by my females during breeding, and some of the wounds i could fit my finger in. I add nothing to my water and it healed fine.
You have all this to look forward to mate.
