WHAT KIND OF SALT

not a lot unless there seems to be a problem or someone is wounded. i don't really know, i just kinda dump some in there when it's refilling. maybe not the greatest thing but doesn't seem to bother them.

i have used rock salt with good luck..what amount do you guys use?

i personally use 1 tbsp for every 10g after every water change...
