what kind of species/type are these snakeheads?

$10 each is very reasonable as they are getting very hard to find now . unfortunatly many juvies die for unknown reasons , and as also suggested keep water changes small as they do not fair well with large changes , get them onto frozen foods , fish bloodworm shrimps ect . they do like to swim though and many larger ones knock them selves out in tanks when they do not stop before the end of the tank !! the ideal leangh of tank would be 8ft +

fully coloured pleuros have to be one of the best looking freshwater fish out there . just wish i could find some more of them over here

cheers col

one of mine just died! idont noe why? he was eating bloodworms with the other guy and now hes dead!.... u guys think i should get 2 more to make it 3 or just leave the other as only 1?

where did you find those in vancouver!!!

nice little babies, they are hard to keep at the moment when very young and seem to just die.
i had ordered 12 of these in total in 2 batches of six and the first lot were gone within a week and i only managed to get 3 of them as the other died before i got to the shop a few days after they landed.
the second lot were no better and 1 even died in front of me in the shop tank.
they look amazing when bigger though its just getting them there.
