Hello people , could you please help me indentify this kind of male stingray ? I bought it as potamotrygon yepezi , the pet shop got it as hystrix and now i think that it is maybe a schroederi or a hybrid of it.Here some photos of the ray 2,5 months ago with a wound from pleco and now as it has changed living with a female potamotrygon motoro , thank you!!!View attachment 852194

Not to side track this thread but plecos will damage rays? I have my female marble moto with some chunks missing from her disc. She hasnt had any issues up until now i figured maybe her and the male were starting to try to breed and maybe he bit her disk or something.

They go by the name Sp.Peru flower.. I have 3 of them, also sold to me as hystrix, i knew it wouldnt be since they come from brazil, but i was willing to try. They look VERY great when young, but fade when they get bigger. The biggest female i have has had 3 litters, and is now totally brown. She used to be like the once posted above, so i got really dissepointed. The Males seem to keep the spottings, but they are not strong, a little faded. I will try to post some pics later on when i feed them.

When young, and when fully grown. They have grown from pretty small to fully grown in 1 year and 7 months, the brown prego female is a beast!

Its shame they loose the pattern and color mine is almost blueish would be some stunners if they kept it
