What kind of sunfish is this?

Several states list them as threatened but in other states they still thrive, the biggest threat to them is introduced bass and bluegill. They are quite variable

Dam the ear flap in that one is Looooooooooooooooooooong no mistaking that one.

That's a longear no doubt about it. They are look alot like pumpkinseeds though.

I would have thought it was closer to a dollar sunfish than a pumpkinseed in coloration and size.

I've got one in my 2500gl pond with bluegill and sunfish. I caught him in MO and shipped him back. He does very well outdoors and I know he is lonely. Who can ship me 6-10 more? Shoot me a pm if you can!
