What kind of sunfish is this?

They max out at 12 inches.....I had to put mine into a private pond at about 7 inches because of aggression (the 39g I have wasnt big enough). If your talking Yabbie lobster either the sunfish will eat it (if its big enough) or the Yabbie will eat the Sunfish....I wouldnt do it.
 
If your brothers fish looks like a green sunfish in color but has a different shaped body and mouth it is probably a bluegill. They can look a great deal alike and I believe crosses between the two are pretty common as well.
