No yours is carpintis as well, you can tell by the size of "pearling".

My avatar is of my green texas, carpintis "Chairel" that died.

Green texas is a common name for h. carpintis. I've heard some people call h. carpintis "Escondido" super green texas but they are still a carpintis. All the names in quotes are just where they are collected and they vary slightly in the shapes of their pearls.

I have lahilla, vontehillo, and these greens. The greens came from segrest and were apparently imported from taiwan. I guess I was halfway right.

This is my Green Texas, as you can see it is quite different from gutted's. It doesn't have the dark coloration (though that could be attributed to a few different things). But the main difference is that the wormings (lines on the face) on mine is very pronounce, and that the pearlings are very irregular and are more like large wormings. Also note that it is blue. It was green when I first got it, but about a month later it decided that it didn't want to be green anymore and is blue instead. It still shifts back to green every once in a while, but mostly is blue.

[EDIT]

Aconrad, the one in your pic is even more different from mine. Its pearlings are a lot smaller, more like a cyanoguttatum, and note that it doesn't really have any wormings on its jaws.

I slightly enhanced the color on my avatar pic but mine will change colors a lot based off of mood or substrate color. Ill see if I can find some pics.

Is there any chance these could be red texas? They do have quite a bit of red in the rays, and segrest is known to not know what they have sometimes.

It might. You'll just have to wait to see if he fades. He lools like hes a mix of a carpintis and cyano judging on his pearl size. How big is he?
