What kind of tiger cat is this?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wednesday13 wednesday13 has seen probably the biggest share of these out of all active MFKers. His nickname for them is funny but it's escaping me at the moment...

Take it back and replace, if the place will letcha...

It's not that its snout is shorter than normal. It's just curved, not straight... I guess you will come back and say "It's not that sb fish's backbone is shorter. It's just folded a few times." :)

Yea it's pretty unique. Sad part is that I need to keep it in my 20 gallon tank till it gets bigger. My peacock bass wanted to taste it

I collected my fair share of mutants over the yrs, started seeing alot around 09..at one point i had atleast a dozen tsn with all degrees of skull deformities . I would say "camel joe face" is pretty common :) ... what is unique/interesting is they pretty much all look the same deformity wise to different degrees... They also seem to survive in captivity fine. the skull deformities will further morph and grow with the fish which is pretty amazing. If u have a heart for him, keep em... if not someone else will buy him im sure. IME mutant tsn are very hardy, tough as nails, and are often more agressive than their normal counter parts. One positive for u may be his mouth cannot open as much to consume/prey on tank mates and the largest deformed one i ever grew was around 2' over the span of 3-5yrs.
