I adopted this guy from my boss, they got him from petco like 2 years ago for their grandson, but, as most kids do, he was no longer intrested in takin care of it. They don't remember what kind he is, and I'm not sure myself.

Sorry for the crappy pic but it is all I have, my camera took a ****.

that looks more like a box turtle with an F'd up face than a tortoise IMO

Box Turtle is exactly what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure, but since I don't have a better pic I'll describe him aliitle. His coloration is pretty much what u see, his head is pretty much the same color as his legs except under his bottom jaw and neck its orange

ding ding ding you have a winner^ thats exactly what you have. in the pix you can see his wierd back feet and the way you described his coloring is right on. my moms best friend did studies on theese guys for her college degree, very cool fun little turtles that go berserk for a raspberry! good luck hers lived over 20 years each before she donated them to the college.

ya look behing the turtle his left back foot is behind his shell and you can clearly see it only has 3 toes. also the orange under the chin mixed with the color of the shell are distinct signs it is a 3 toe.

if you where nodding at me saying my moms best friend did her college degree on them, she was a vet specializing in exotic animals that now teaches a high school honors biology class. she studies how there dietary habits affect their actions like breeding and hibernation.

Awesome,......... Thanks alot guys!!!!!

One more quick question, how do I sex it?

Pattern variation is not reliable for sexing any eastern species.
Males generally have longer and wider tails than females, and a more flattened shell, females are much more doomed shaped than males, usually.
