Land of the flea and home of the whopper.
Title says all. My tank is 17" deep and I need a UV that will reach the bottom of the tank for a basking Lizard. No, it's not a climbing species. So it really needs to reach the bottom. What T-rating UV bulb do I need? And how much would it cost me at an expo for a 23" version?

you could just get the reptisun 10.0 and have the basking spot come within range of the uv, which is about a foot. It will cost about $20

the T-x measurement is just the diameter of the bulb
your fixture only accepts t-8's

other option is to get a mercury vapor bulb
It should work fine over your distance
You might want to ask the vendor just in case to make sure

it is used as the basking light and UV source
It goes into your standard incandescent hood

don't you have the fixture for the basking bulb?
