my tank has dual 3/4" returns. I am not sure how I should plumb those to return the water to the tank.

my 1st idea was to do 2x vertical spray bars but that might leave alot of stagnant water in the middle and top of the water.

my 2nd idea is kinda like an H where both outputs are joined and the cross section of teh H is a spray bar running the length of the tank. The legs of the H will go down to 1/2" to 45 degree bands to direct water around the overflows.

the 3rd option is to just use a 45 degree 3/4"piece on each side and aim them down and towards the center

The tank is 24" deep, so would returns just near the top move enough water? The pump is a Mag24 with about 5.5' of head with a ball valve to divert extra flow back to the sump.

Personally, I think a mag24 will move more than enough water, no matter how you do the returns. Since the overflow will take water from the top, just direct the return downward. And remember, if your fish are a reasonable size, they will actually move water, too. Keep it simple...

Kinda depends on your fish...Create an environment suitable for them. Current flow, rest areas etc. you've got enough pump to do it all.

How long is the tank & gallonage?
