Hi as some of you might now im getting my 300 gallon(I'll keep you updated). And i already have a retic. but im wondering what else to put in; it the only other fish im putting in there is a silver arowana. I was planning on getting a marble motoro but other than that what other types of rays should i put in there, and that will stay in there for life(I dont plan on upgrading). Thanks

well right there your already off.. A silver will get to 3ft pretty quick.. And a motoro and a retic prolly wont work the best. As motoros could stress the retics out. Plus a motoro will grow pretty huge.. Right now I have some that are about 20inches. And they need a 8foot pond asap. I have them in a 4x8pond.. And its a bit small for them.

Yeah if you get a tank and want Motoros, but don't plan on upgrading.. ATLEAST get an 8x4 tank.. They get pretty big in total length.

Retics grow slower and are smaller than Motoros.. It would only work if the retics had a few inches head start and were eating well.

Try doing Retics, Hystrixs, and Scobinas.. or P14s and Leos(maybe).. get your wallet out :) They should all do pretty well in a 8x4 for life, No?

leopoldi get too big for a 8x4 for life... look @ mike(h2ocustomaquatics) his female is over 30" disk... the 300 he is mentioned is the rubbermaid pond... I would look into more retics hystrix orbigyna(sp?) and p14 rays....p14s will cost you about 2gs a piece... all the others can be mixed with no problem and could keep about 6 if you keep your water pristine....

Ya i dont want to spend lik 1000 dolars until i get somthing huge but the retic. will have quite a few inches on the motoro because iv had the retic for a 5 months and the motoro will come the same size

motoro grows a lot faster than a retic....don't matter if they are the same size when purchased....

ok even if the retic is bigger motoros grow faster than retics......

yes i understand i dont no how big the motoro will be if i get one but idk ill have to consider all aspects
