I found this picture when I was googling splendidas. I know of the red and regular morph but when I saw this it didn't resemble the regular morph I've seen numerous times before. Maybe I'm just going crazy, but these snooks look hot!

Omg.... I must roboCOP. Are these ever available in the hobby? I would seriously consider cleaning out my garage and setup the old big tank to house them in.
 
you can find them for sure... the stupid red ones are more popular so people breed them on a commercial scale.

be prepared to pay some good money to get wild morphs of this fish
 
wow, that's probably the first pic of mature wild morph that I've seen....very nice :)
 
There is a guy in Florida who has a breeding pair of the wild morph. They've been on Aquabid off and on the last year or so. Cichluvr or something is his handle.

They're a lot more available in Canada and Australia for some reason.
