IME, they are close to Pimelodus pictus in behavior and care. Not fussy. Adaptable. Quirky. Not aggressive, even to their own kin IME again. Males have a much bigger upper caudal lobe.

I'd not jump to conclusions. The way I would look at it is one pro and one con. Need more data. That's why I mentioned IME, which means not to be generalized, unless stated clearly otherwise
