A pidgin is not a full/real language. What languages make up the Pidgin you speak?
I know what Pidgins and Creoles are. A Pidgin is not a FULL language PERIOD. You know why? Cause there is no real foundation of grammar. Pidgins are a form of communication, but not real languages. They are a form of communication when other languages clash. They borrow words from several languages usually when they make contact in trade or colonial situations. English is thought to be a Pidgin cause it borrowed lots of words from around the world. A pidgin is a precursor to a creole. Pidgins only really last a generation or two unless they become a creole. Creoles take vocabulary from one language and use the grammar from another. The Creole they speak in Haiti (French vocab with African grammar) and even American Ebonics (English vocab with African grammar) are good examples of creoles that started as pidgins during slavery times. And it doesn't matter where I am from I have an understanding of how language is made and spread. Obviously you don't know!
