:grinyes: Never limit yourself to size... some cats are just worth building an addition onto the house

MARRY ME!
j/k but I wish I could get my hubby to think like that, I would love to just have monster tank build after monster tank build, until my bedroom was surrounded by a massive 20k gallon tank ....and then until my whole house was surrounded by a tank lol (I can dream right?)

I'm working on a way to do just that....
Check out my ...best laid plans....blog for the container tank plans

I've seen that, and I can only dream for now...but it would be SO awesome!

I would like him to get around 24" and be able to defend himself in case my arowana gets fiesty.:irked:

My stocking list includes: silver arowana, oscar, and sometype of cat.
Silver Arowanas can mix with almost any fish they cannot eat, nor be eaten itself.

I Have a BLUE CHANNEL CAT,IT'S a beautiful fish he will get very very big.good choice in my opinion.

Sorry i failed to mention they are illegal to sell in MICHIGAN.

i second marbled pim. if you want something a little smaller, i would go w/ Perrunichthys perruno (what i want) or Leiarius pictus. since you already have amazon fish, i would stick with that and get an amazon cat. technically, P. perruno arent from the amazon, but pretty darn close

i also thought about a tigrinus or juruense

I LOVE my seperata aor personally (indian shovel nose) and although planet catfish says the get like six feet mine is 16" and hasn't grown a bit in six months so i doubt he'll get more than mabye two feet. They are pretty hard to find though...
