What life lessons have you learned from aquarium keeping?

I have learned that to establish a relationship in general you sometimes don't even have to be physically in touch with them. I find it kind of funny how you take care of your fish. They learn to trust you, you learn to trust them (piranha bites for example) but in general most of the time you are separated by a glass. Kinda like the bubble boy. But in the end you establish a bond with your fish. They depend of you. They even recognize you. I didn't knew that was even possible.

Pay it forward. Years ago an old man who owned a small mom and pop fish store taught me a lot about keeping fish. Now that I am older I try to return the favor by helping others in the hobby.

When the wife says no chase her around the house for a while and she will eventually give in, but be careful you could end up with shredded fins
