the water agitation from my emperor 400's make a cool shadow effect on my fish.
specially with the t5ho fixture. :)

Im going to have to look in to those, would it matter if i get a reef light for a fresh water tank? the ones with 10k power and a moon light bulb??

I have 6 xenon puck lights with a 3 way dimmer (off, bright, brighter and brightest)
The heat is manageable, but they're mounted 12" above the water in a vented canopy.

Got any pics of them in action for us? I've been thinking about using some similar puck lights for my 220g...

I use 2x generic clip on home depot lights with a 40w flourecent bulb in each one. I used plastic floating plants to subdue the lithging and my Trimac's seem much happier than thaey did when I hat a 48" T5HO unit on there. I kinda like it better also, it gives the tank a very natural look.

DIY Blue LED Xmas lights for my "moon lights" fun to make though.

Standard tube for other times.

Nothing great till the big tank comes :D Then maybe I can brag a bit.
