I want my convict to grow a bigger head. is it just a matter of time, or food, or dominance in the tank. and tips are welcome

They grow them for the ladies. They like big Koks. it's more attractive. try adding a female and see if his kok grows.

Yes, yes it sounds funny but females usually stimulate the males to grow a bigger head. Dominance also plays a factor.

as far as i know convicts dont get koks
but if they do ive heard its water conditions, genetics, feeding, and dominance

Here is mine...7 month old 2 1/2''...i feed them two times a day bio gold and small piceces of zuccinie.

I think it's to attract near by females or to display dominance but I don't think convicts even grow these humps
