I don't think you have to specifically use Prime with Purigen. If you use an amine (IIRC) based product, slime coat products are the ones mentioned in the purigen instructions, in the aquarium it will foul the purigen and prevent recharging. If you have purigen and you stick with seachem products you have some insurance against inadvertantly buggering your purigen up so you can't recharge it.
When you recharge your purigen with chlorine bleach you need to dechlorinate it before adding it back to the tank...unless you like floaters. Any dechlorinator should work but the ratio's maye be harder to calculate...
