What natives do you keep?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh god, now I know what sandtiger was talking about. If anybody says anything out of line, report the post guys. Gosh. It's simple. It's the little hazard sign right above the send pm button

This started out as a great idea for a thread and quickly turned into inane useless garbage. I think the thread is salvageable and can still provide worthwhile info to our members so, I deleted the junk and responses quoting the junk. If you feel your post was deleted in error... well, too late to recover it. BTW, I not only consider useless name-calling as junk but, also UNSUBSTANTIATED accusations, and peanut gallery cheers/goads.

Keep it on topic and keep it civil. If you have problems with a post, hit the report button or contact a mod directly. We can't be everywhere 24/7.

Geez!! I cleaned up the thread then, forgot to provide my meager NA natives list. I'm currently maintaining:

Gambusia puncticulata - spotted (dalmation) mosquitofish
Morone mississippiensis - MS striped bass (non-hybrid)
Amia calva - bowfin
Lepisosteus platyrhinchus - FL spotted gar
Lepisosteus platostomus - Shortnose gar
..and trying to capture another Pylodictis olivaris - Flathead catfish

I'm also working with another member in securing a colony of Hysterocarpus traski - tule perch.

All I have right know are 3 american flagfish. But I have kept long nose gar, long ear sunfish, and johnny darter. I'm also going to get a red fin pickerel in a few weeks.

What happened to your sunfish? That's the one in your avatar right?

I have ...

1 Bluegill "olive"

1 Pumpkinseed "Sunshine"

1 Largemouth "baby"

...and a baby alligator snapper I rescued from a sewage drainpipe:(
