ok the green i got along with the cert looks like it is a fake
i went to the imperial arowana farm website and checked their database for the origin of the fish and then i got the reply that there was no such fish registered
and then i checked a few of their certs
and i saw that the symbol used is different and on closer observation i found out that the signature of the singaporean dealer on the cert is a forgery (which doesn't even look like the actual sign

and the actual cert looks like this

i have met this person only once
but the lfs owner who was the mutual friend is a good fellow and i think he didn't know what was happening neither did the the owner of the fish i guess

from an LFS i know



and i haven't yet paid a dime for the fish

yup it is a green but not a certified one
and not a F2 as it said on the cert

does it have a chip? cant u find out where it is from using the chip data?

You still got a green aro man so you've not lost have you? I live in thailand and i expect most of the RTGs here are farmed but not imported, they're too cheap. I'll still buy one though, if it's farmed its farmed.
 
i was just surprised at the first encounter of mine with the illegal fish market
now i am not even sure whether the fish is farm bred or wild caught
anyways i like the fish as it has started eating pellets in my tank and has been docile

i have no idea whether it has a chip or not and how to get the chip data as the cert is a fake
