I wouldn't jump into conclusion without getting a confirmation with the farm. And what does it matter? You get what you paid for and it's not as if you paid for a RTG but getting a green instead right?

Another thing is that the farm may not have all the data keyed into their system as yet? As green been wild caught and sold as tagged fish, it will not happen here for there's so much of them here. It doesnt make sense to do something like this risky from a reputated farm such as IP.

i dont think they would fake a green cert its not worth the hassle

the fish must have been scaned on import so the chip must have corosponded with the cert

the reason the chip data is not on the system is it takes a few weeks even months for the data to be put up im not even sure if they put this data up for green aros

i would worrie about the cert it means nothing get the fish scanned if you are worried but im 99.9% sure its not wild caught its just not worth the risk of selling a unchipped fish

i am not at all worried about it being not chipped or chipped
and i got something more than the value for money so i am happy
the fish was got a long time back nearly 4 months or so and sold to some guy who had a 125g and was keeping a silver and the green together, now that he couldn't handle the aggression between the silver and the green he wanted to get rid of the green and i bought it

i am kind of sure the cert is fake
if you look at both the certs
the first cert is a pic i downloaded from the farms official site and the signature of vincent chong is much diffrent than the signature on the second cert, which is mine

It does look 'fishy" to me too. Do keep it though as it is the one you got with the fish. Is there a way to email the pic of the cert to the farm?

hmm...you mean one can keep their signatures in all form of document consistantly? Me myself cant really have all my signature identically signed sometime due to alot of cert at one time. I'm sure no one can. A little bit off here and there is bond to happen.

Plus the cert do have golden line and embrossment effect on it thus it's not logical and not econmcal to reproduce the cert for it's costly. Let alone just to sell a green away.

here in india any asian is extremely expensive whether it be green, banjar red, or any other low grade
to tell you the truth even at the city aquarium the most expensive aro they have is a pearl arowana
and i am not talking about the consistency of the signature i think you did not look at the signatures correctly then

here is a pic of the 2 signs
View attachment sign.bmp
you may be right though

Still... I will still advise you going to the right channel rather than telling the whole world that someone is trying to fake his signature or fake cert or something.

I'm sure if you can post your issue here, you can sent them an email as well to verify rather than been here guessing.

ok now i understand what you mean
i think i will send an e mail to them about this issue
thank you Koji
you know for a guy who wears/wore a mohawk, you think in a very different way

im no hand writeing expert but that sig looks like its from the same guy to me :D

If i may add the cert from the web site is for a RED aro which will be more expensive than a green from souce... maybe the farm gives better certs for reds than greens.
Greens are common, her 100$us Max for a good one, Red 1000$ up for a good one. The certs got to be different as well IMHO
