that reminds me of when I stayed the summer at my uncles in fort vermillion alberta, my line was like not even a foot off the shore and a pike hit it scared the daylights outta my 12 year old self almost got my rod pulled outta my hands too
 
its always bad when ur rod gets yanked out of urr hands when ur "fishing" haha j/k but how big was the pike?
