i had a red oscar that changed color sometimes right before your eyes he would go from a light orange to nearly black. as he grew older his color changes became less frequent and not as drastic, but he never really stopped changing colors.

i always liked my albino better, she was always the underdog. and she was always smaller than the red. she was just the most beautiful gold/orange color.

By babies :) 1 Tiger and 1 Lutino? Albino? I'm not sure, What is he? And yes my Lutino Oscar has had HITH

Nice Oscar, buddha1200!

Here's a good article on the distinction between albino, leucistic, and lutino Oscars: http://www.oscarfish.com/article-home/oscars/58-what-are-albino-and-lutinos.html

My vote *might* go with a veil-taled leucistic (pictured in the article). I'd have dark substrate and a black background. No tankmates. He'd look like some prehistoric genie hovering in the room.

If my current favorite could read this I'd be in serious trouble. :D

You didn't specifiy which "Tiger" - I prefer the not so common "Common Tiger Oscar" - Olvie drad, tan/brown, and black (No Red/Orange) - looks like a piece of camoflague.

I like red oscars personally. It's hard to find them around here but I have a tiger and wouldn't trade him for anything. He's always happy.

one of the most common oscars, next to tiger
my wal-mart even carries albinos

when we say true albino we mean 100%,most common albino's or lutinos have a ceratin amount of color.like mine in the photo has black around the edges of his fins(sometimes dark sometimes lighter but always there)so he is not a true albino he is lutino.
