I have a 55 gallon and am planning on getting a small oscar (1-3") and a dempsey the same size.. what other fish should I get with it.. I have a 55 gallon tank but I can get plenty of fish because when they get to big I have a place for them to go..what fish should I get to go along with them.. angelfish, catfish, green terrors..midas? any you reccomend

nothing else will fit in there beings the oscar gets huge and so does the JD later on you'll more than likely have to move both these fish to a larger tank to accomadate both of them

IF your able to get a bigger tank later on I'de say maybe 1 or 2 of the hardier plecos and any other SA/Ca cichlid that gets some size to it and is aggresive enough to take care of itself should be ok

i can suggest a catfish for you, look into the synodontis Eupertus of "Lace Catfish". Its a SA catfish who will grow to roughly 8". Beautiful Fish and will be great algae eaters when they are young. As they age your gonna need to begin to supply them with waffers and such. Lemme know what you think!

oh well then green terrors convicts, red devils, texans, jaguars, red terrors off the top of my head are ones that will most likely work for you just make sure you research the fish in depth before you get them

Alright thanks I'm going to take down all the names of fish people have given me and take them to an all fish store around me that has very great employes and see what they say as well.. thanks a ton

What place do you have for them to go when they get too big?
