Dang man your so hard core, lol. I don't think I could drive a Muscle car everyday. The metal that they were made of back then was crap as was the overall quality of them, unless you do a full restation, i.e. frame off rebuild. .. My gramps has built a few hot rods, that's how I got a lot of my customization and fabrication skills. His last one was a '55 chevy step-side with a '71 chelleve undercaridge with the big block 396 that came out of it. It had a mild cam, upgraded valve train, full exhaust, TH400 transmission, and an MSD ignition. The rear end was very light. It had a ford 9'' rear end with 4:10 gears and an LSD from Quife. It was good for 400 horse power to the rear wheels. The cab of the truck was chopped 3 inches and the suspension was dropped 4 inches. It was low but daily drivable. But it got 9-10 MPG. It and it only ran in the 13's when it hooked up. . The coolest thing about it was all the MILFs that would ask me what I was doing driving it, not to mention the custom teak wood flooring in the bed that my dad did as woodworking is a hobby of his.. My girlfriend could of literally done her make up in the reflection off the wood.
What I'm getting at is, to keep the dang things running well and looking good you gotta keep the miles off of it. Its just a PIA to daily drive. If you want some cheap go fast thrills with a v8, that you can mod the heck outta go look at 87- 93 ford mustang 5.0's or the 94 to 2002 camaro/trans am. If you get one of those cars, you could easily have a 400+ hp car for 5000. I've seen people get more horse power for cheaper, but they are old timers that know whats up.
