What other huge fish besides koi can I put in Texas pond ??

Maybe it is the rebar scratching them somehow or an intolerance to metal in their water. Some fish can't take exposure to heavy metals
I'm not sure about any scratching as the rebar is usually in place as the concrete is poured so it is then sealed inside of the hardened structure.

True, but the concrete should be sealed if it's for a pond. Meaning there's not a lot of a chance for metals to leech into the water.

I doubt rebar would scratch them either, since it's enclosed. Although concrete can't be great for them, since they could have trouble with rubbing against the walls of the pond. It's not a great size for them, natural ponds seem to be far more successful in keeping them (meaning naturally-occurring ones or ones with a standard liner)
