what other websites do you use?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use cyphos.com for Frontosa help. I think their interface is crappy, but the member base is amazing with actual real-world knowledge. I guess the same as MFK, but focused on a single species, not just Monsters in general.

I just realized that is the only site besides MFK I REALLY use daily related to fishies. Aside from Google to see what fish people are talking about.

mfk is the only animal related site im on.

aqualandpetsplus.com

I really like it.

I use AC occasionally. There are a few people who seem to know their sheat, but the userbase is pretty conservative... and overly focused on "what should I put in my 10G?!"

I use Cichlid-Forum for Cichlid stuff, Finarama for Angelfish, SimplyDiscus for Discus, obviously, recently Apistogramma.com for Dwarf Cichlids, Aquatic Plant Central for Aquascaping and Aquatic Plants, PlanetCatfish for Catfish, ShellDwellers.com for Tang Shellies, and on occasion AquaHobby. MFK is set as my homepage though, since it's what I use more often.

In General, I think MFK is by far the best for general information, and discussing fish (not just monster). However, if I wanted specifics for spawning Altum Angels, or something, I'd probably head to Finarama, since it's a more specific site. For Cichlids, I pretty much use MFK more than Cichlid-Forums.. I sometimes use Cichlid-Forums for the wonderful profiles they have there. MFK is definately the best for general information, and specific information on Monsters, I think. Other sites are only useful for really really in-depth disucssions and articles and what nots on very specific topics regarding a single species.

I'd have to agree with you about the cichlid-forums profiles. Their profiles are very comprehensive. It's the only other fish site I use, and only then to identify unknown africans.

Really, with a site as good as MFK, why would anyone need to go anywhere else?:D
