I don't think it'll make any difference rather you go with sand or gravel. none of my fish had problem with sand in my 180g, except some of my plants

Right now its bare bottom to keep clean but I want substrate, making sure he wont try and eat it. Thanks jp

Ballin: I used 2 50lbs bags of pfs in my 90 however I had maybe 6-8lbs left over, so I'm just gnna rewash it throw it in after work!
