What Plants can I get?

^depends on the light I guess, but yes, the java fern grows when everything else doesn't.

I actually have two really good LFS near me so I don't get much online. But if I did have to get plants from the net, it would be here http://substratesource.com/

The nearest store that knows what they are doing is an hour and a half away so it isn't always that economical.

I have one LFS that gets really good plant stock in on random days and they sell out quick; without them I'd be on the net. Check out that link I gave you. They're pricey, but with the plants I've listed, you'll only need to buy a handful and they should last longer than your fish... I think.

That's the one potted anubias that I was talking about, at left. It's an anubias frazeri, it's the anubias with red stems (sorry, I've been calling them anubiUs instead of anubiAs up to this point). I got several of these that were not-potted and they all died from what I thought was an iron deficiency. The potted one survived . To the right of that is a plant I can't remember the name of, and then another half of a java fern mat.

EDIT: by the way, I rubber-banded rocks to the bottom of all the mats to keep them grounded.

All the previous suggestions are great but it depends on your lighting level as easier, slow growing plants under high intensity lighting can often lead to an algae problem
